A Simple and Inexpensive Christmas Table Decoration

I am the hostess for about 90% of the holiday gatherings in my family. This is partly because I have the largest home, able to accommodate all of us, and it is partly just because I am willing. For me, it has never been a particularly big deal. Clean the house (kind of), do some shopping, cook, clean the house. At Christmas, decorating must be added.

This year, I managed to get my table set a few days prior to tonight’s dinner. I wanted to give myself enough time to take some photos to share.

My inspiration was these very inexpensive green balls from Superstore. I bought them to add a little punch to my simple mantle embellishments.

Then I found a large box of unbreakable balls of different sizes and shapes, in the same colors and piled them in a crystal bowl for the center of my table. I love that they are unbreakable because then if my nephews decide to roll them across the table, I won’t be freaking out.

The hurricane candle holders are a permanent fixture in my house. Some sparkly snowflakes in red, some extra green balls, about $12 worth of red carnations, and a sprinkling of glittery confetti finished the table center.

crackers

I like to have crackers for the kids and was inspired to prop them up on my folded napkins. They look like they are ready to shoot into space, creating some movement and a sense of fun to the table.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with the results. Simple, inexpensive and fun.

Hoping your holiday is fun, festive and filled with Love.

Mia
