Feng Shui and the Root Chakra – Step 4

In my 6 part series on creating a home that supports a healthy root chakra, we are at the place where we need to talk about wealth. In some ways, wealth should perhaps come first and I’ll tell you why. A healthy and open root chakra depends on our feeling safe and secure, and in the material world wealth is one of the biggest contributors to that. Without a feeling of safety and abundance, we struggle to step out of a place of fear and lack. So…

Step 4 is Enhance your Wealth zone

I believe that wealth is highly subjective. However, at its most primal I also believe that we have a baseline. If you are able to shelter and feed your self and your family, then you are wealthy. Anything after that becomes gravy and simply adds to an increasing sense of abundance.

So, how do we use our home environment to improve or support our wealth? We have taken the first steps by at least getting the vital chi in the door and circulating it through the space. Now we can enhance what we already have by finding the area of our home associated in Feng Shui with wealth. If we are standing at the main entry facing inward, the area at the far left 9th of the property, house or of any room represents our wealth.

This is the area, first to have a critical look at, then to enhance, for wealth. We do this by simply adding uplifting things. Plants, lights, crystal spheres, music, fragrance and beautiful and inspiring images can all help to brighten the wealth area and help to remind us of our abundant nature.

Add items here that remind you of the wonderful gift it is to be here at this time. A vision board can help to remind us not only of what we hope to manifest, but also of what we are already grateful for.

Using the colors red, green or purple and items that are representative of the wood or water elements are also good ways to enhance your wealth area. For example a lovely fountain in the wealth area of the yard would be perfect.

Finding our wealth guas (zones) and creating spaces that help us to feel safe, abundant and grateful for all that we have, no matter how small, is the 4th step in supporting us at the root.
